Flyers and nests

Flyers: few, expensive, one per element. They leave from a nest, fly without bridges, have little range, and only one tower shoots them down.

Since v17.

How they work

Every element has its nest: Kite Nest, Spark Nest, Cloud Nest, Lantern Nest. A nest holds up to 2 flyers and gives birth to one every 30 s, as long as it is connected to the temple and in its light. A flyer rests at the nest for 12 s: it recharges and repairs. Then it flies straight, over the sky, to its target, within 12 cells of the nest. It works there and comes back before its flight time runs out. If the nest falls, its flyers keep going while they have flight time left, then they crash.

Where they go

Tap one of your nests. They choose on their own is the starting choice: each flyer looks for the best target for its family. Aim the flyers and then tap a spot: they look for targets near that spot, or stay over it.

Who shoots them down

Every family has only one counter. The other towers don’t see it.

The computer

First Flight uses no flyers. Breeze places a lantern nest. Wind one nest, Gale and Tempest two. From Wind up, when it sees your flyers at work, it builds their counter.

What’s new

  • v22.5 When a building appears on top of a tree or a rock, the tree or rock disappears. Flyers land on top of the nest and fly over the temple dome, and Cirro flies over the towers.
  • v17 Flying units: each element has its own nest. The Kite Nest steals bundles from enemy Veiled, the Spark Nest burns enemy buildings, the Cloud Nest blinds towers, the Lantern Nest repairs bridges and buildings.
  • v17 Flyers don’t need bridges, but they can’t fly for long and go back to the nest to rest. Each family has just one counter: the Mirror for kites, Mist for sparks, the Gust for clouds, the Pylon for lanterns.
  • v17 Tap one of your nests to send the flyers to a spot, or let them choose on their own.
  • v17 The computer uses nests and crews from Wind up; Breeze only places a Lantern Nest.
