Rule

Weaves

Two buildings of different elements, 3 cells or less from each other, weave together and do something neither of them does alone.

Since v18.

How to make a weave

It works for attack and defense towers: Gust, Wall, Pylon, Lightning Rod, Mortar, Mist, Mirror, Shield and the study buildings. Specials, nests, Steles and Collectors don’t count. Both buildings must be yours, linked to the temple and inside their light. Each building makes only one weave, with the closest free one. The effect reaches 6 cells from the point between the two. On the map a row of colored dots joins the two buildings; tap one of them to see its weave.

Why

When two gods work close together, the sky does something neither of them does alone. See The story of Aeolia.

The computer

From Wind up, when it places a tower it prefers a spot where it weaves. Gale and Tempest look for it more.

What’s new

  • v18 Weaves: two buildings of different elements, three cells apart or less, together do something they can’t do alone. There are six, one for each pair of elements: Charged Air, Squall, Blaze, Nimbus, Glare, Rainbow. A line of dots joins them; tap one of the two to read what it does.
  • v18 From Wind up, the computer looks for weaves, answers the visits and goes after the drifting islands.
