Faith and followers
Every temple has its followers and its faith. Followers decide how many Veiled are born; faith is for miracles.
Since v16.
Followers

You read the number of followers by tapping the drop at the top, next to the menu, and in front of the temple you see their figures: one every 4. You start with 6. They grow by one every 4 s toward a goal: 6, plus 8 for every connected Collector, plus one every 6 cells of lesser islands held and connected, up to 60. Above the goal one leaves every 2 s. They leave all at once when you lose bridges (broken or fallen) or Veiled: every lost bridge cell is worth 1 point of mourning, every Veiled one 2, and every 2 points a follower leaves. Cells you take down or undo yourself don’t count. When the temple falls, half of them leave.
Followers and Veiled
The more followers you have, the more Veiled the temple can have and the faster they are born: one every 56 s with no followers, one every 28 s with 12 followers, one every 14 s from 36 up. See The Veiled.
Faith
Faith goes up to 100. It comes from the Veiled resting at the temple door, from those praying at the altar, and from the followers. If the temple was hit in the last 8 s or the altar is down, the followers give half. With the Keeper at home and awake everything is worth a quarter more; if the Keeper is stunned or carried away, it is worth half. Every Veiled one killed takes away 2 faith. When the temple falls, faith is halved, and while it is down none comes in. Halfway through a match you collect about 20 faith per minute: one miracle every 3 or 4 minutes. Faith is only for Miracles.

What’s new
- v24 The temple grows with the village: from the first stage it rises to the second at 8 points, the third at 14, the fourth at 20. Each new stage gives 300 more health and you can see it: columns, then towers, then a crown. From the second, faith can go up to 120 instead of 100. At the fourth Cirro looks bigger, though no stronger.
- v22.1 In the faith panel, Cirro’s line wraps: “No” no longer sticks out past the edge.
- v22 On phones the map is clear again. At the top there’s a single bar: wind, the two temples with the clock, a drop with your faith, and the menu. Tap the drop to open faith and followers, the God, Cirro, “Tend the village” and the minimap; when a prayer arrives, the drop lights up.
- v21 The hand: hold down on a loose rock on your island, pull your finger back like a slingshot and let go. A curve of dots shows the flight and a ring shows where it lands. The rock does 40 damage, costs 10 faith, and then the hand rests for 20 seconds. The Gust pushes it in flight.
- v20 Villages: around the temple, your followers’ homes appear and grow on their own, from hut to great house. They give faith and followers, and great houses repair the temple. With “Village” you choose which way they grow. Enemy towers can hit them.
- v20 Prayers: about every minute and a half, a God brings a request from the followers, the same for every temple. Granting it gives faith and followers; letting it drop makes two of them leave.
- v20 Under your faith there’s a single line: what kind of God you are and the open prayer, with the seconds left. Tap it to read everything. The Village button, with the little house, sits on the right above the Miracles; a small flag shows where you chose to grow the village.
- v17.3 The Route of the Winds has fifteen worlds in six chapters, and each world gives you just one new thing. You start with bridges, Collectors, Gusts and Steles; then, one world at a time, come the Wall, the four elements, the specials, faith and miracles, the crews, the nests and the truce.
- v17 With full faith the Miracles button pulses and says how many miracles you can cast; now and then a message reminds you.
- v16 Followers: every temple has its followers. The number is under the wind and their figures stand in front of the temple. They come when you link springs and hold islands; if you lose bridges or Veiled, some of them leave.
- v16 The more followers you have, the more Veiled the temple can have and the faster they’re born.
- v16 Faith: it comes from the Veiled praying at the altar and from your followers, up to 100. If the temple is under fire or the Keeper is far away, less of it comes. You need it for miracles.
