Rule

Truce

If nobody breaks through, you can end the match as a draw: both sides propose the truce.

Since v17.

How to propose it

From minute 15:00, the match menu has Offer a truce. The offer lasts 30 s: the other side sees it at the top with the Accept button. If they accept, the match ends as a draw, with no winner. You can’t propose it while a Keeper is outside its temple, during the rite at the altar, or for 90 s after a temple has fallen. If that happens while the offer is open, the truce is off. Between two offers by the same player 90 s must pass.

What it counts for

In ranked matches a truce counts as half a win for each side. In the World of the Day and on the Route of the Winds it doesn’t count as a win. If the match goes on, the Late hours take care of it.

The computer

It accepts only if it is not ahead. It proposes a truce only in a long match, when it is a little behind.

What’s new

  • v22 A match now lasts 20-30 minutes. Wind comes in more slowly, buildings cost more, the rack refills in 7 seconds, and a fallen temple rises again after 90 seconds. The late hours start at minute 22, and you can offer a truce from minute 15. Night, visits of the gods, prayers, drifting islands and Siege waves come later.
  • v22 On Gale and Tempest, from the tenth minute the computer tries to reach your temple before the late hours: a tower on its row or column, then a bridge for the Carrier. Fewer matches end in a stalemate or a truce.
  • v17.3 The Route of the Winds has fifteen worlds in six chapters, and each world gives you just one new thing. You start with bridges, Collectors, Gusts and Steles; then, one world at a time, come the Wall, the four elements, the specials, faith and miracles, the crews, the nests and the truce.
  • v17.3 Three new worlds: Seriso, Lunaria and Pietra di Fiorina. At Porto Dorabruna, Sterpa offers you a truce: if you accept, the route stops there.
  • v17 Truce: from the eighth minute you can offer to end the match in a draw, from the match menu. If the other side accepts, nobody wins. The computer only accepts if it isn’t ahead.
