Rule

Rack

Three bridge pieces to choose from, for free. A used slot fills up by itself. Pieces that wait get seasoned.

How it works

The rack holds 3 pieces. Pieces cost no wind: the limit is time. A used slot is full again after 7 s. The X key, or the button next to the pieces, changes the chosen piece for a new one for 2 wind. Both sides get the same pieces, turned like the world: nobody is luckier.

Fresh and seasoned pieces

A piece that waits in the rack gets seasoned in 24 s. A piece laid as soon as it arrives is fresh: it takes up to double damage and heals in 26 s. A half-seasoned piece heals in half the time. A cut-off stretch made of seasoned planks also gives way a quarter more slowly.

The rack helps

When none of the three pieces can bring one of your tips closer to the free landing of an island you don’t have, the next piece that arrives is the longest straight piece that does it. If a landing is a few steps away, a piece arrives that ends exactly on it.

What’s new

  • v22 A match now lasts 20-30 minutes. Wind comes in more slowly, buildings cost more, the rack refills in 7 seconds, and a fallen temple rises again after 90 seconds. The late hours start at minute 22, and you can offer a truce from minute 15. Night, visits of the gods, prayers, drifting islands and Siege waves come later.
  • v13 The rack has more short pieces. When no piece gets you closer to an island, the next one that arrives does.
  • v09 The rack holds three free pieces that refill. A piece that just arrived is fragile; the ones that wait get seasoned.
