Rite at the altar

The Carrier brings the enemy Keeper to your altar. Five signs light up one after another: at the last one you have won.

How it is performed

When your Carrier reaches your Altar with the enemy Keeper, it kneels and the rite begins. 5 signs light up, one every 1.8 s. Shortly after the last one, the match is won. In the story, the Keeper turns to light: it does not die, it rises to the gods, and that is an honor for a Keeper. Its fallen temple rests. See The story of Aeolia. If the altar is down when it arrives, the Carrier waits for it to rise again.

How it breaks

If the altar falls during the rite, the rite breaks: the Keeper goes back free to its temple with half its health and the Carrier is lost. That is why the enemy goes all in on your altar while the rite is running, and you have to do the same with theirs. Keep some defenses near the altar before you send off the Carrier.

What’s new

  • v17 The bubble of your fallen wind is gray and can’t be tapped: only the enemy can take it. The rite says “1 sign left”.
  • v14 New music, recorded in layers: it builds up with the battle, has a theme for the temple under attack and for the rite, and the weather has its own sounds. If it doesn’t load, the old music plays.
  • v07 The offering at the altar takes five visible signs and stops if the altar falls.
