Free world
Your home sky, with no enemy and no rush. Grow your village, your islands and Cirro. It saves itself.
Since v24.
Where to find it
In the main menu, once you’ve won Crowstone, the last world of the Route of the Winds. The button says Free world (continue) when there’s a sky to pick up.
How it works
It’s your home sky: your temple, the village, the islands around it, Cirro. There’s no enemy temple: its island is a lesser island like the others. There are no late hours, no truce, nobody wins. You stretch out bridges, make islands believe, grow the village and the temple, try out signs and the hand, teach Cirro. You can also make your great miracle, one in the whole Free world. With no enemy the Night of Bolts has no targets, and the Cloud Tide only doubles your Rain springs. The gods pass by (see Visits of the gods) and the followers pray. The lands change as in every match.
It saves itself
The game saves the Free world by itself, every half minute and when you quit, in a place all its own: it doesn’t touch the match you can resume. On the website the copy also goes online, tied to your player. What you build here stays here. Into other matches you only bring Cirro’s habits, as from every match.
Why
It’s the promise of the route: at Crowstone the springs back home start blowing again. See The story of Aeolia.

What’s new
- v24 After Crowstone two new things open in the menu. The Free world is your home sky, with no enemy, and it saves itself. Gods’ Challenges are eight trials, two per God: if time runs out you haven’t lost, you try again.
- v21 After a match on the Route of the Winds, “Menu” at the end of the match and “Leave” in the pause take you back to the free world you had chosen, not to the route world.
