Saves
A match against the computer saves itself. From the menu you pick it up where you left it.
How it works
The match saves itself every half minute of play, when you pause it and when you quit or close the page. In the main menu the saved match is at the top: Resume opens it again, and Other saved matches shows the slots from “Save and quit”. In the pause menu, Save and quit puts it in one of three slots. Each slot shows a small map of how the match looked. The saved match stays on this phone or computer; with an account you find it on the others too. A save keeps the whole match as it was, it doesn’t replay it: it picks up right away even after many minutes. Online matches are put on hold another way: see Online match.

What’s new
- v24.4 Online matches are never sent. The game no longer saves your last matches online without asking, as it did since v24.
- v24 After Crowstone two new things open in the menu. The Free world is your home sky, with no enemy, and it saves itself. Gods’ Challenges are eight trials, two per God: if time runs out you haven’t lost, you try again.
- v24 On the website, at the end of a match the replay is also saved to your account, like saved matches: the last twelve are kept. They help us understand how the game is played.
- v22 New menu: at the top is the thing to do now (Learn to play the first time, Resume a saved match, Continue the campaign), and below are the five ways to play, each with a line that says what it is.
- v15.1 If you leave halfway, the lesson you were on stays saved: next time you start from there.
- v15.1 A match saved while the game is running (autosave too) now resumes from exactly the point where it was saved.
- v15 New main menu: the logo at the top and just one big button, Play, or “Resume match” if there’s a saved match. The world and the level are on one line, with “Change”. You now choose the level in New world.
- v14 Each saved match shows a small map of how it looked when it was saved.
- v13 Matches save themselves every half minute, when you pause and when you leave. From the menu, “Resume match” opens it again where you left it. In the pause, “Save and quit” puts it in one of three slots. The saved match stays on this phone or computer.
- v13 The route is saved on your device. On the website it’s also saved online, tied to your player.
